Ok, running a WordPress 3.2.1. site.

    URL: http://www.renaissancebsi.co.za/test/.

    Theme: Modified TwentyEleven

    Plugins:

    Additional Image Sizes (zui)
Select All in One SEO Pack All in One SEO Pack
    Deactivate
    Contact Form 7
Contact Form 7 - Dynamic Text Extension Contact Form 7
Google Maps v3 Shortcode Google Maps v3 Shortcode
    jBreadCrumb Aink
    Magic-fields
Really Simple CAPTCHA Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Simple Nivo Slider
    Super Search
    WP Realtime Sitemap

Ok so I have activated and deactivated all the plugins and this makes no difference. When I completely comment out the main CSS file, it seems to load.

Any help would be immensly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot.

Have you tried switching to an unmodified copy of the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. Never edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

Create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

    Thanks Esmi,

Yes, it seems to work when I completely switch to another theme (twentyTen) but when I clear my twentyEleven CSS file, it still does not work. But a clear style sheet and disabled JavaScript works.

    This is so frustrating.

Thought maybe it is a bug or something...

No. If it works with an unmodified copy of the Twenty Eleven theme, then the problem is within your modified version.

Yes, I guess so but the terribly strange thing is that it runs on all other platforms, including iPad, Safari in ie7 mode, it is just ie8 in ie7 mode which freaks out, weird.

    Cool, got the problem sorted.

It was an error with some JavaScript where there was li's not inside a ul. All other browsers accepted this but ie7 refused.

    Thanks, issue closed.
