• hi folks, before I post my question, I’d just like to say what a *great* plugin this is! Does what it says on the box using mostly just only htaccess rewrite functionality. Nice work!

However :), I’m having a slight issue with the upgrade from v1.4.7.6 to v1.4.9.1
(current) and it’s like this. I deactivate all plugins except for “Maintenance Mode” and “WP-Hide”. I upgrade WP to v4.9.6 (current). Everything is up-to-date except “WP-Hide”.

When WP-Hide is updated the return screen says “site not found” and I have to back out the update at the file level. Because the update is not clean, I also have to manually excise the wp_options table entry for the non-active plugin. Then everything works as expected again, except that I’m still running the old version of the plugin.

A little stuck here, and although I’m still investigating, I’d appreciate any helpful suggestions.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback.
Can you try the following version and let me know if makes a fix for you http://nsp-code.com/testing/1.4.9.4/wp-hide-security-enhancer.zip

As alternative, please ask for help at wp-hide.com to check further into this, or follow the next steps:

    1) Delete the plugin from your wp-content/plugins directory.
    2) Then remove any lines in your .htaccess file between
BEGIN WP Hide & Security Enhancer
    ..
END WP Hide & Security Enhancer
    3) Delete the option ‘wph_settings’ from your wp_options table

    4) At this point, everything is reset to default. Re-install the latest plugin version which should work fine now.

    Thanks

Thanks for the prompt response! I’ll give those 2 options a shot and feedback here.

Hey there, I tried changing site domain url and now my site is not there anymore. my site name was tiketfare.com

The domain change should not affect the rewrite at all.
Can you define “my site is not there anymore” ? Did you changed the domain within database too?

I changed wordpress address (URL) and site address (URL) in general settings, now when I try to open the site it says buy the domain with the name I wanted to change. my original site was tiketfare.com and I changed it to inspiringnow.com

@virk123 you said “buy the domain with the name I wanted to change” this has nothing to do with the plugin, you either didn’t set-up the domain correctly (check the DNS setting, the server path for domain) or you didn’t update correctly the url.

I suggest so you de-activate the WPH plugin, complete the domain change, ensure it works fine, then re-activate.

Also please start a new topic as your issue is not related to original title.
