Each of my page titles contained the sitename twice.
    E.g. Bluepage | SitenameSitename

Although I have now removed all %%sep%% %%sitename%% placeholders in WordPress SEO by Yoast, each page title still contains one site name.
    E.g. BluepageSitename

Where does this sitename come from…? Any suggestion appreciated!

The site runs with the Woothemes Canvas theme.

I have the same issue here.
My theme is now Book Lite and the home page shows doubled site name

    e.g. SitenameSitename
    e.g. Contact | SitenameSitename

    Desperate to find the solution!

Some people say untick “Force Rewrite Titles” to solve this problem.
For some reason, in my case I ticked on it and the site name became right.

    Otherwise, refer this page.

    Hope that helps.

I had the same problem and talked to Joost about it. I had to turn ON the force rewrite titles.

I don’t know what change they made, but he seemed to know what was causing the issue so I guess it will be fixed at some point…

I can confirm that unticking “Force Rewrite Titles” solves this problem.
Don’t forget to put in the site title in the various strings in WordPress SEO (%% placeholders) otherwise you won’t see no title at all.

    Case closed…
    Thanks for your feedback.
