I’m probably being thick-headed, but: where in Jetpack 3.3 is the centralized site management hidden? I’ve now been searching up and down for it for at least one hour, even switching the WP backend language and enabling Omnisearch.
I can’t remember ever having seen the mythical opt-in banner in my dashboard, and even if I should have clicked it away at some point, there surely must be a way to still enable this feature?
Searching for “manage” in the Jetpack Features search box only ever results in a «Sorry, no modules were found for the search term “manage”».

Thanks for any hints as to where it might be hidden!

Mh. Just re-checked wordpress.com/sites/, and apparently centralized site management seems to be turned on for my site, despite my being utterly unable to find any hint of this in my site’s dashboard.

So far, I must say this is not quite what I had hoped for. I can’t find a single plugin that shows any entry for auto-updating in the plugins list. I guess there must be an equally hidden magic button somewhere, somehow.

Clicking on the “update plugin” on wordpress.com/sites/ button switches me over to my sites dashboard. That’s a far cry from what my.bruteprotect used to offer – which was much more close to being able to stand in for managewp.com’s centralized update management, if I remember correctly.

There should have been a banner when you updated, as you mentioned, and you can always deactivate and activate remote site management by going to Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard, and clicking on “Configure” next to the JSON API module. I realize that’s confusing, but that’s something we’re working on making more clear and less confusing.

Once that option is enabled, you will be able to activate, deactivate, and update plugins from this page, assuming you’re an admin on your site and that your site is not a subsite in a multisite network.

If you still experience issues after that, let me know your site URL and I’ll take a look!
