Site Maintenance Plug-In Problem

    I used a site maintenance plug-in (Maintenance Mode) to create a splash page while the site was being worked on.

    I have deactivated the plug in and in fact removed it. . .but my page does not show up when I use the url. All I get is the background.

    I’d appreciate suggestions on what I should look in to.
