  • @lightsourceptaah you are not using the actual logo. You are using Elementor image as a logo. So edit the custom header template and adjust the size of the image on Elementor mobile editing mode.

@twosavoie I checked your site and logo is working fine. Try to clear the cache and check again.

Hi Amit! I’ve cleared the cache and it still isn’t showing up on the search results page. It also doesn’t show on the 404 page. All the regular pages (home…) are fine. It shows on Safari & my iPhone but not on Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. Thanks!

In case someone else has the same problem… I removed the retina version of the logo and now the logo appears on the search results page and the 404 page. I don’t know why it worked but I’m glad it did πŸ™‚

my website did not show website logo on mobile and tab? How can fix it? please help?
    Thank you.

Dear all, I think I’ve solved it this issue:

Don’t use the theme customizer to set the logo. Just open the page which is used as homepage in regular edit mode (classic editor). Beyond the TinyMCE editor window you will a couple of options including a field to define the logo.

For me, it seems like a bug of the OceanWP theme. Please fix this so the logo can be set via customizer, this did cost me more than an hour to solve this.

    All the best

I have the same issue for days now and I feel hopeless. The logo appears on every page EXCEPT the home page. WHY??? I deleted 100 times and re-added, I published when I deleted the logo then re-added and still no use. I played with the size, I added a retina logo to see if anything happens and I played with that too. In the end NOTHING worked. I tried to do @humanistischnet solution too but I don’t know what the TinyMCE editor is and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I also tried to find a logo option in the classic editor but I found NOTHING. I even added a featured image thinking that could be the logo but NOTHING. Please help. I’m asking god right now because it seems like it will take a miracle to fix. I am considering remaking my website on a different theme but I am hesitant because I’m not a website builder, I already spent so much time on my site and I even paid someone $1000 to build it and get me going with it (and they can’t figure the issue either).

Hi. I think where they were directing you – go to the bottom of where you edit the page content. You’ll see a section for “OceanWP Settings”. In the menu on the left you’ll see “Logo”. You can add the logo there.

I don’t know why but sometimes having the logo on the page works best, sometimes in the customizer works best.

If that doesn’t work, consider looking over the settings for header & title (both on the page and in the customizer. It’s possible that you’ve hidden the header for the homepage that contains the logo (or another setting that is causing you problems).

    Good luck πŸ™‚

@twosavoie It worked! Thank you so much! It’s amazing how one simple answer fixes everything. You’re great!

Similar problem here:(. I tried to change the site logo by replacing the orignal retina-logo2.png by a customized one. However, the logo disappeared and only the site title is shown. Restoring the original retina-logo2.png does also not work. I tried to change the logo at OceanWP Settings -> logo but no effect.

    Could you please help me?

I was able to restore the logo by the logo section of the customizer. However, I can’t change it. The same old logo is always displayed regardless of the selected file. Furthermore, in the logo section of the customizer you can select a logo-file and a retina-logo file. Selecting a retina-logo file does not have an effect at all.

In case anyone is having their logo not show up on mobile, there’s a separate menu where you have to upload another logo. customizer > header > mobile menu.

This is a bit ridiculous guys. Staff of OceanWP, why don’t you fix this issue? Not sure why it’s marked as “solved” since there still hasn’t been a solution offered other than clearing cache which we are doing. Viewing on an incognito tab also reveals no logo change using the customizer logo upload option.

It’s apparent this is and has been an ongoing issue for a long while now. It shouldn’t cost this much time and frustration setting a logo. I’ve created a couple sites using OceanWP and I run into this issue every time. Setting the logo using customizer doesn’t work. It simply doesn’t show the logo. I have to instead use the logo upload option at the bottom of pages.

Having to set the logo manually on every page isn’t optimal since some pages (Woo Commerce, etc) aren’t easily editable because they don’t appear as pages in Wp Admin and therefor don’t have the OceanWP logo setting option. And what happens when we decide to change our logo… we have to go back and edit dozens of pages one by one? That’s not a user friendly approach.

Please fix this apparent bug or create a new option that works and allows the upload of a global logo that works on all pages. Or at least mention to users in your documentation that the customizer approach doesn’t work so people aren’t spending hours tinkering with things and getting frustrated trying to get a simple logo working. I’ve never experienced this problem with any other theme, so I know it’s possible. Thanks.

@humanistischnet thank you for providing your solution

I was confused how to make the logo visible on a home page designed with elementor.

The problem emerged when moving a development copy to the live server.

The logo was only visible in the CUstomizer editor.

It was not visible in the Elementor editor.
It was not visible in the browser.

    I am using OceanWP.

I tried to fix it, but no logo appeared even after
    – re-adding it using the Customizer
    – clearing the cache

Indeed it does look like a bug with OceanWP

This part of your solution worked for me:

Don’t use the theme customizer to set the logo. Just open the page which is used as homepage in regular edit mode (classic editor). Beyond the TinyMCE editor window you will a couple of options including a field to define the logo.

For me, it seems like a bug of the OceanWP theme. Please fix this so the logo can be set via customizer, this did cost me more than an hour to solve this.

To be specific, here’s what I did
    1) Open the home page with the “edit” option and click the button “Back to WordPress Editor”
    2) Scroll down to OceanWP Settings
    3) Select the tab for “logo”
    4) Set your logo and retina logo
    5) Publish
    6) Your home page will be unstyled with your elementor settings. Open the home page again with “edit with elementor”
    7) Update again (you may have to change something to activate the “update” button)

Turns out, I had to do this for every page — not just the ones styled with Elementor.

Thanks for putting out your solution.
