WPML is offer us to use different domains per language (etc: domain.com and domain.com.tr managed by wpml) but Site Kit only accepts one tracking code/site.

Whilest each are different domains and targets different languages (.com => eng, .com.tr => tur) will Site Kit connect both domain’s Search console and analytics accounts at once?

Now I have connected Site Kit for .com site and everything is great but when I switch to .com.tr site it says there is no record to analyze, if Site Kit would accept different domains according to languages we defined in WPML it would be great for users such as me.

Thanks for reaching out with such a great question. Are you using different WordPress installs (and domains) for your various sites, or did you configure WPML from within the same WordPress install?

At present Site Kit works on a per install basis. If you’re using the same WordPress install but pointing a separate domain name to a variation of your only WordPress install (ie – .com.tr pointing to only WPML Turkish path variables of the same WordPress install then Site Kit will not report on your .com.tr domain name at present).

Let me know your current setup anyway and I’d be happy to assist. Feel free to share your Site Health information privately if you want me to inspect your current setup.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for your interest.

Its not different installs for each domain, you can use one installment and configure it via wpml settings. Detail description here (wpml blog post): https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/

Before you publish an update I have created a function to load different analytics tracking code for each domain and disabled Site Kit. Hope you add that feature soon.

    Best regards

Thanks for the update, the WPML resource with additional insights is very useful. I’ve since created a GitHub feature request in relation to this, you’ll find it below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/2864

In the meantime I’ll try and setup a multi domain environment and include details within the GitHub issue. It would be great if you can also provide some additional information, in particular the custom function you created and a video or screenshots of the steps before encountering the “there is no record to analyze” notice. Feel free to share here or in the related GitHub issue.

I’ll close this support topic also as we’ve moved it over as a feature request. Let me know if you have an further questions on this.
