“site kit for google” error: invalid ‘site_id’ or ‘site_secret

    I have a google Analytics property that has not received any data since July 2023 (although it is a new Google Analytics 4 property!!!). The plugin “Site kit for google” was installed in my wordpress page and displayed an error code on the dashboard: invalid ‘site_id’ or ‘site_secret’

    Unfortunately, “redo the plugin setup” as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin were unsuccessful. Then I logged out of my Google account and tried to log in again with my Google account (Sign in with Google). Now I only get a message from WordPress:

    The request to the authentication proxy has failed with an error: invalid ‘site_id’ or ‘site_secret’ Get help.

    If I also click “Get help” I only get tips that I have already tried or write here in the forum. I hope someone can help me to find the error. Many thanks in advance!

    Thanks for reaching out, and sharing details of your troubleshooting efforts. As this error remains, please perform a plugin reset and check does the same happen once more (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit).

    If the same occurs, please share your Site Health information and we can check this further.

    Note also that in relation to no data being received for your connected GA4 property, I’d be happy to check for any issues once you share your Site Health information, or confirm no issues after attempting setup after resetting. Note also that by resetting, you will need to connect all previously connected modules once more.
