 * Attempt to install the plugin generated an authentication proxy error. I have
   had the plugin installed in the past. Help pg says this may conflict with new
   installation. I don’t know how I can “revert to the previous site setup.”

   for getting in touch. The site kit authentication proxy error can happen due 
   to a number of reasons. You should see an additional message following this which
   should give some more insight into the cause of the issue such as “site not found”
   or “A site with the given URL already exists”. You can find all the variations
   [here](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/troubleshooting/setup/#the-request-to-the-authentication-proxy-has-failed-with-an-error).
 * I’d suggest first trying a [Site Kit reset](https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/documentation/using-site-kit/reset/).
   Once reset, go through the Site Kit setup once more and check if you encounter
   the same error message. If you do, please could you share the following:
    1. Your [Site Health information](https://i.imgur.com/Rtkmsba.png). You can [use this form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1lhjns2K7c0Ny7ME4gxTcsnYtNUtcMr8BvFpPQi23Y1E/)
       to share privately if preferred.
    2. Since having Site Kit set up in the past, have you changed your site URL or 
       wp-admin path?
    3. Do you encounter the same from an Incognito browser?
