Site Hijacked? My username, email, and password no longer work

My old free wordpress website is still showing on wordpress.com. However, I can’t log in and I can’t recover my information in order to delete it. I keep getting errors that say my user name and email don’t exist! It’s so frustrating! I just want to delete the old free site since I’ve created a new with an outside hosting company. So now I have two websites online.

Is it possible to recover access to my account or just ask wordpress to delete it?
