It’s confirmed that PMP is the plugin causing the critical issue, because it happens only with PMP enabled (no other plugins activated at the same time)

    Error:

Your site cannot complete a loopback request.
Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.

The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
    Error: Too many redirects (http_request_failed)

What can I do about it?

  • In my case it is the plugin RestroPress which creates the same issue.
I’ve found out by de-activating one by one the plugins and checking the health of my site.
After de-activating restropress the health was just fine.
I have written them an e-mail and now awaiting there response.

Men this was a long road of searching and solving problems, and placing back back-ups.

    Health Issue !

I have the same issue as @crpeng above. I followed your recommendations regarding loopbackrequest issues and the issue persists.
Another error which might be linked. This error manifest itself When a new user tries to log in before the administrator has approved the new account. This user will never be able to log in again on the same device. This is not caused by any security plugins I use. It happens when these are disabled too or when IP is whitelisted on these. Refreshing browser and cookies does not solve the issue.
I need to create a new user and transfer the data to that one to circumvent the problem.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. We have a fix for this that will be going out in the next PMPro release. You can see the patch here if you’d like to try to fix it on your site before that. https://github.com/strangerstudios/paid-memberships-pro/commit/e9f3afe0cd153793d31a10fee74f985859c03736

But also I think this may be a false positive. I am guessing that actual loopbacks used for cron jobs and such are working well. There is a peculiarity with how the loopback test works that conflicts with some code we have.

Look out for that update later this week. Thanks.

Earthways, I am not sure this issue you are having is related, but we should try to figure out what is going on. Can you open a new ticket about your issue? Specifically, can you let me know what you mean by “approved”? How are you handling that approval? Is it our approval plugin or another one?

Hi, there, that issue is not related no and has been resolved. Thanks for your help. I will wait for the update and venture back if the original hasn’t been resolved.
