I am not a programmer, I use my site to show and sell my art, a friend set it up for me. My site has approx. 11,000 invalid users and 95,000 unauthorized hosts. I changed my password and that seemed to stop unauthorized users from joining although, of course, the existing users continue to post all sorts of stuff.
I was thinking that a way to deal with the problem would be to delete the users and select the option that lets you delete a user’s posts as well. The problem is that when I do this, nothing happens. I get the “working”, spinning curved line in the chrome browser tab and I get a “waiting for mywebsite.com” at the bottom of the page. Originally, I was able to delete users one at a time and this problem only happened when I selected lots of users for deletion. Now, I can’t even delete a single user. I’m not sure if this is happening because my site has been hacked or if there is some other thing making my site so slow that I can’t even delete users. My site still works on the web just fine. It just has 95,000 crazy posts in one section. Any ideas or suggestions??
