My site just got broken after updating WPForm plugin to the latest version 1.6.8 few minutes ago.

After updating, i can nolonger access my WordPress admin area. what i got is error message:

There has “There Has Been a Critical Error on Your Website……”

I disable WPform through my CPanel and my site was back and running. I tried updating again and the same error occurred.

Because the forms created with your plugin are active on my site, so had to roll back the plugin to previous version: 1.6.7.3 and this also resolved the problem.

My site is currently on version 1.6.7.3

please look into the issue with your new release to enable me update to the latest version.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Thanks.

    Hey @jobsgivers,

First of all, we are very sorry you experienced this problem. That’s not how the release is meant to go! We would like to understand what’s going on, so could you please help us by answering several questions?

    1. What is the PHP version of your site? You can check this info in your admin area Tools > Site Health, Info tab at the top inside the “Server” section.

    2. Could you please provide us the last error records of your site? You can upload the whole error_log file (it can be named slightly different too) to https://pastebin.com/ as well.
This is the file where PHP stores all its errors/warnings etc, and it usually has useful information for developers.
This file is usually automatically created in the root of your website (the same place where your wp-config.php file is located), or you can most likely access it via a control panel of your hosting provider for this site.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Please i want to know if it’s safe to upload such error log in a public forum like this. Just cautions of security

That error log will have the path to your site files and most likely will have the domain name where you experienced the issue. I consider this information safe to share. You can replace your domain name with example.com, for example.
We need only the data about the WPForms plugin, so you can delete everything else.

    Hi @jobsgivers,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a while, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation (please just see the post above).

    Thanks!
