Hi, are you saying that your site was suspended by your host? And this happened after you updated this plugin? Is this correct?

I asked the host if the account was suspended. They said no. Hey said that in the .htaccess file there may have been code pointing to cpanel’s account suspended page from the plugin.
Not sure what triggered it because no one could access the site.
They disabled the plugin manually. This created a 403 for all the pages.
They created a new .htaccess file with just the WordPress section and it started working again.
I just mentioned the update part because I don’t think it was related since it was updated several days before any of this.
It sounds like some entry in your .htaccess file might have corrupted your site. However without more information I am not sure what could have done this.
Is your site up and running? Have you installed or activated this plugin again?
It’s up and running. I haven’t reactivated the plugin. I do have the .htaccess file that caused it.
So what happens if you enable the security plugin?
We haven’t had the opportunity to reactivate it yet.
Let me know when you reactivate the plugin and what happens then.
Thank you
I’m going to wait until the site backup runs and then reactivate the plugin. Would you like the corrupted .htaccess file so you can take a look?
Hi, please create a new .htaccess file.
Thank you
We have. Just waiting for the backup to run before I reactivate the plug-in tomorrow.
