Trying to migrate a site from inmotion and get this error:

“Site domain to be changed to
While generating the transfer token, you have chosen to use a different domain than the one currently used with your WordPress. To accommodate this change we will automatically update your database while transferring it to the SiteGround servers and replace the domain information on the needed places.”

The website domain is so no change is necessary. Please help.

You can safely ignore that and proceed, it should work fine. We will address this message in an upcoming update 🙂

    Hi Hristo,

I had this notice too and ignored it according to the advice here. However, the migration changed my domain to lose the ‘www’ in the domain. This seemed caused all sorts of issues, including redirection issues etc.

Might be worth checking and ensuring that the ‘www’ is respected during migration in future as I can imagine worse scenarios resulting than mine if the customer isn’t aware of this as a potential issue.
