Support » Plugin: Video Gallery & Management for YouTube Videos and WordPress » Site destroyed on plugin delete

Plugin had some problems (single video pages showed strange texts, perhaps due to incompatibility with some other plugin), the video thumbnails in the video gallery page just showed the Youtube “error thumb”.

The reason for the 1 star however is that when uninstalling with “remove plugin data” set, the plugin destroyed the site by deleting all site categories and tags while at the same time leaving eg the auto-created pages behind.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I am trying to reproduce it. I assume you did the following:

1- Clicked on “Remove All Data” checkbox under Video Settings > Tools which has description of “This tool will remove all Videos data and related taxonomies when using the “Delete” link on the plugins screen.”

2- Deactivated and deleted the plugin from WordPress Plugin page

3- Plugin deleted built-in Category and Tag taxonomy terms but did not delete the setup assistant generated pages

Could you please confirm you followed the steps above?

We’re sorry that you hit a bug. We’ve fixed this issue in 2.5.1 and included a guide in plugin documentation on resolving theme related conflicts.
