site crashed help

    hello everyone
    I had my site running fine with the portfolio theme running but wanted to change the favicon not been able to do it on the theme i changed back to wootique theme where i had changed it along time ago now changing back to the portfolio theme non of the portfolio items are working there are no pages for the items and the portfolio page is blank please can someone help me. http://angusbennettfurniture.co.uk/

    In all likelihood, what happened is this:

    1. When first using the portfolio theme, specific page template(s) were assigned to each page or the pages now affected.
    2. When you switched to the other theme, that theme does not have such a page template, so it forced a switch to that theme’s default page template.
    3. When you then switched back to the portfolio theme, you then also had the theme’s default page template assigned.

    To fix, edit each page and apply the proper page template from current theme.

    In the future, created a full db backup just prior to site (admin) edits. Restoring that db takes a few minutes (once you have that procedure down) and will put your site back to what it was right away.

    thank you for that some how I managed to fix it. just wondering how do you make a backup? thank you again. Angus
