  • Received an email that my site was updated and links were provided to update themes/plugins. After doing so, I’m unable to access my site. It appears to have crashed. What do I need to do, or who would I need to contact?

    Well if you receive e-mails that your site was updated somebody is updating it for you, I assume?

    Get in touch with those people first and ask if they have backups of your site!

    Thank you. I did contact them first, and they weren’t able to troubleshoot. I was advised to contact a local developer. They left the chat before I could ask how to go about that.

    get better hosting, they’re obviously not on your side. That being said, you could log in to FTP and remove your plugins (after making a backup of them!) one by one to see which one causes the crash. The same goes for your theme. Revert to a Twenty * theme (fifteen, sixteen, seventeen… all are fine and thoroughly tested) and see if your website comes back alive that way.
