Support » Fixing WordPress » Site content disappeared, only these 2 error msgs showing

  • I upgraded to WP 3.4.1 and updated my themes. Now the site header is all messed up and none of my site content is showing, but these two error messages are listed. They are also showing at the bottom of the WP >> Appearance >> Menus page. Site:

Warning: Unknown: open(/var/chroot/home/content/m/o/n/moneymamas/tmp/sess_pamasahpgeeud26mg4t69aiin3, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct () in Unknown on line 0

Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this? I would be MOST appreciative!

  • Disable all your plugins and switch to the default theme Twentyten and see if you are still getting the errors. If not re enable theme and plugins one by one to find the culprit.

    Thanks for responding, Chris!

When I switched the theme to Twenty Ten, all of my content showed up again. I then deactivated all of my plugins, switched back to our WP-Prosper 1.0 Basic theme, and was back to the blank page with error messages.

Not sure what to do now that it looks like it has to do with the theme…

THANK YOU to anyone who responds!

You need to go to where you purchased the theme from and see if they have an updated version that works with WordPress 3.4.1

A lot of plugins and themes are not compatible with WordPress 3.14. If you created the theme yourself, you can easily fix the problem. If you previously bought a theme, try and find an update for the theme that supports WP 3.14.

    u have to check menually
u have backup for your project
