Site completely erased?

    I don’t know if this is caused by a hack or whatever at this point but somewhere last night my entire site has completely been erased. The ftp server is entirely empty. On my hosting website I can still see there is data in the php area.
    I don’t know yet what the issue is or how it could have even happened and maybe it is an error someone made at the hosting side, but figured I check if anyone has ever had anything like this happen??
    It’s scary and I hope everything can be re-installed back to it’s old position…

    1. Ask your host if they have a backup that is not too old and if they can put it back on.

    2. If they can’t, upload a fresh, locally unzipped wordpress copy through FTP. Set wp-config.php properly. And see what you have.

    3. Is there anything in the database?
