I am getting a bizarre error whenever I try to update a plugin on my site.

I can update some plugins automatically. Others no. I also cannot install a plugin from wordpress.org. Can someone give me an idea as to how to proceed with this?

This is usually a server issue - sometimes caused by a failure to compile PHP with cUrl. Contact your hosts about it.
