Hello!
What I am seeing is a message stating “This page isn’t working –
owlandtheelephant.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500”
An Error 500 message is also known as an Internal Server Error. It is unfortunately very generic and can be caused by a wide variety of issues. Here’s a good overview: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/
Do you have FTP access to your site? I would check to make sure your .htaccess file is not corrupted. You could also remove all the themes and replace them with something standard like Twenty Sixteen.
It is also worth checking with your webhost. It could be that the server itself is having issues, not just your site.
Hi,
Please double check that you have revert back all changes you have made in the theme.
Could you please rename the plugin folder and check again ?
If it not working then please change the active theme to a default one.
If you not able to access the admin side. Please do vial phpmyadmin
http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/change-theme-in-db
If its not helps try to add define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
code the wp-config.php then it will display the errors if any .
(Please take a back of both files and database before do anything)
Regards
Sumith

@homemadejam,
Please check your file code which you have added or edited. Remove extra space value on top & bottom of file.
As per your site run time display one space value.

1. Connect via FTP
2. Go to /wp-content/
3. Rename /plugins/ to /temp-plugins/
Try again to login.
If it still not works, temporary remove all non-WordPress themes from /wp-content/themes/.
