Site banner image issue

  • I am currently using a Blackbox 1.0 theme for my wordpress blog, monkeyswearingpants.com. I want to use my own logo design as the site banner and as the default link to return to the homepage. I was able to set the header size that I desired as 1079×180 pixels. I then designed my banner to be exactly 1079×180 pixels (using MS Paint). When I insert the necessary data into the Sandbox header sheet, the image appears fine and it successfully links to the homepage, but there is a white border surrounding the entire banner. Yet, when I look at the header attributes, the size is 1079×180 pixels. I keep tweaking things in both the Sandbox header sheet and the Blackbox style sheet, but this remains a frustrating mystery. Is there a command that would be shrinking my image in order to fit this white border around it? Is there some type of padding issue that I could be neglecting? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is one of the final customizations I have been trying to add to my site.

  • I forgot to mention that I am using a Firefox Web Developers Tool plugin in order to determine the div ids and dimensions.
