 * Hi all,
    I was trying to solve another issue (plug in folder not found/could
   not create directory issue) by deleting the /wp-content/upgrade folder.
 * something then went hairy with my FTP. I finally got the upgrade folder deleted,
   and created a new one, CHMOD’d to 777. However, there was another wp-content
   folder within my wp-content folder — ex: /public_html/blog/wp-content/wp-content
 * i deleted the “extra” folder. Now my site admin page is trashed.
 * error here: [http://one-more-exit.com/blog/wp-admin/](http://one-more-exit.com/blog/wp-admin/)
 * i’m running WP 3.0 and had multi-site all up and running smoothly. maybe someone
   could lead me in the right direction and let me know what actual folders i should
   have in the wp-content directory?
 * thanks in advance!

 * You should have `/wp-content/plugins/` and `/wp-content/themes/`
 * If you do, try [resetting your plugins](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F).
   If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the
   cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [FTP or SFTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename everything **except** the `/twentyten/`
   directory. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate and hopefully rule-
   out a theme-specific issue.
 * If neither of those work, can you describe “my site admin page is trashed” in
   more detail?

 * Sorry, I can’t even GET to my admin page.
    if you click on my link: [http://one-more-exit.com/blog/wp-admin/](http://one-more-exit.com/blog/wp-admin/)
 * that’s supposed to be where i enter my user credentials, but it’s giving me a
   500 error. I think it has something to do with me messing around in the wp-content
   folder. besides /plugins/ and /themes/ i should have blog.dir because of the
   multi-site, correct?

 * > Sorry, I can’t even GET to my admin page.
 * Follow the suggestions in my reply above. Neither require access to the admin
   panel.
 * > besides `/plugins/` and `/themes/` i should have `blog.dir` because of the

 * Yes, if you’re using multisite, you should also have `/wp-content/blogs.dir/`

 * Hi MacManX,
 * sorry i didn’t follow your directions the first time. for some reason, the anchor
   tag didn’t work in your first link, and i was only half looking at work.
 * i tried both of your selections. i still can’t log in to my site administration,
   even though my blog and photo blog are still accessible.
 * any other suggestions?
    if not, do you think doing a re-install might be my only
   hope? here’s the error i’m getting:
 *     ```
       Internal Server Error

       The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

       Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@one-more-exit.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

       More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

       Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

 * Hi MacManX,
    I did some more digging, and i found my problem. for some reason,
   my wp-admin directory was missing. i must have fat fingered something last night
   while FTPing, and trying to solve my other issue.
 * thanks for your help. i’ll mark this as resolved!

 * Try [downloading WordPress](http://wordpress.org/download/) again and delete
   then replace your copies of the `/wp-admin/` and `/wp-includes/` directories
   with fresh copies from the download.
 * If that doesn’t work, please start your own topic.

 * 500 error is server error – have you asked your webhost about anything?
