• Hey, just have to say I love this plugin and it’s extremely useful. However, lately I’ve noticed an annoying issue when working on my site with Query Monitor enabled.

Basically, when Query Monitor is enabled, the site ‘freezes’ for a second or two as the Query Monitor data is being loaded. It’s a minor but very annoying issue. I don’t know if it’s because my site got larger, or because Query Monitor was updated, but I didn’t have this issue a few weeks ago.

Disabling the plugin prevents it from happening. it seems like Query Monitor is blocking all other actions from happening until it’s finished loading.

Does the freezing happen before the page starts rendering, or after most of it has rendered?

The Capability Checks panel that I added recently is proving to have more of a performance impact than I hoped it would. I’m working hard to improve it.

If the freezing happens after most of the page has rendered, then that’s just some client-side slowdown you’re seeing due to the large amount of data that QM outputs.

It happens after the entire page has rendered.

Also, in case it matters, I’m using a plugin to move the Admin bar to bottom of the browser. See: Bottom Admin Bar

Can you deactivate the Bottom Admin Bar plugin and see if the problem still occurs?
