Site acting strange, found weird code in some files

    My site recently has been acting strange.

    Everything seemed to be working fine for months and no changes were made, except for this week when I reset my WP password.
    That went fine, looked at the backend, but didn’t change anything. Logged out etc.

    Well today I am getting header errors etc.

    When I went into the configure file and functions file to look for extra spaces I noticed the first code in each of those 2 files to be some weird code. It starts with:
    <?php eval(gzinflate(base64_decode

    I only looked at those 2 files.

    Can anyone let me know what that is.

    sounds like the site has been hacked. there are lots of post here on how to solve the problem. …

    Here’s the site.

    I contacted hostgator and they said it’s malware. They said they would clean it up and get back to me with how it happened etc. and how to prevent it.

    I can only guess they are correct.

    When i did a search, that code produce a malware/infected search result with different info.
