SingleSite Theme Switching

  • Is there a plugin out there that lets me use more than 1 theme with a single blog? Either by post or page or category or something?

For example one theme for all the “news” posts, and another for all the “about the authors” posts / pages.

    TY!

  • This looks promising…

Thanks Newton! “jonradio Multiple Themes” is a fantastic plugin! I’m having a little trouble using the “Theme Test Drive” ‘trick’ to get the alt-theme to setup the way you want, so IDK how this will turn out, but it’s a pretty nice find!

It’s funny, I read an article cautioning peeps not to use Multisite if you only wanted to switch themes, to just use a plugin for that, but I’m finding such plugins not so easy to come by. I did find one other, although I think jonradio might be more promising.

For anyone else trying to set Theme Switching up, you might also check out Headspace2. Unlike jonradio multiple themes which is all about theme switching, Headspace2 is actually an SEO plugin with A LOT of features, and one of them includes theme switching. Here’s a post on how to set that up, since it’s a little buried in all the other features! 😛
