• Hi!

Is there a way to have single sign on on multisite with mapped domains?

What I’d like to achieve: When a user logs into one site on e.g. domain1.com, he is automatically logged in when he visits domain2.com.
Assumptions: domain1.com and domain2.com are mapped domains of one multisite install, and the user is registered on both sites.

Without domain mapping, this works fine.

    Thanks for any support!!

    Best Regards,
    Steffen

The remote login feature only works with the mapped domain & the main site’s domain.

The issue with logging someone into all mapped domains is that super admins have access to all mapped domains & logging them into a larger number of domains would be extremely slow.

Thanks for the answer! OK, now I kind of understand why SSO is not integrated into your plugin.

I am running a multisite with currently 3 sites were I need SSO. The sites are news websites behind a paywall, and some customers read articles daily on all three sites. They complain quite understandably, since 3x login is annoying.

At least in my case, performance should not be an issue.

If I would want to make a customization with remote login for selected sites with mapped domains, and maybe even only for some user roles, could you point me in the right direction on how to achieve that technically?

    Thanks a lot!
