Support » Plugin: Active Directory Integration / LDAP Integration » Single Sign On between WP and ASP.NET?

I want to have users created on the WP site automatically created on my ASP.NET site, which is on a subdomain of the WP site. The ASP.NET site is a customer portal. Then I want users logged in on the WP site, to be auto-logged in when they visit the ASP.NET portal.

The ASP.NET site has functionality that allows you to use external providers for registration and login. To connect them, it seems all you need to input into the settings of the ASP.NET site’s admin panel is a, “webservice URL and password,” for the login and for the registration and it will be able to generate new accounts from the external identity provider.

So, could I use this plugin to set this up? I want to be able to register new customers on the WP site and have them cloned and auto-logged in on the ASP.NET site.

    Hello,

I have emailed you with the preferred solution for your use case and kindly waiting for your response.

As I understand, you are looking for SSO and user sync for your WP and ASP.NET applications. We already have SSO and SCIM solutions available for both WordPress and ASP.NET application which will allow you to achieve this.

Can you please confirm if you allow account creation only from WP and sync in ASP.NET site? Or do you want it to also have in other way?

With SSO user will have to login only once either in ASP.NET application or WordPress using Single Sign-On (IdP login).

Once user login to any one app, same session will be used to SSO user into other application.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi,

We have an application built in .NET but we are using the WordPress MySQL database in this .Net application. So can we use this plugin to allow the .NET users to directly login from the .NET to WordPress application which is hosted on a separate domain?

Please note that Both .NET and WordPress are linked to the same database.

Please let me know if this is not clear or you have any questions.

    Thank you

It will not be single sign-on but it will be the same identity in use. You can reach out to us through the support tab in the widget so it will be easier to have a conversation in greater detail.

Is it commercial or open source ?
