    hey there,

I am currently trying to set up a book as an article what should get shipped individually from the rest-cart of a customer.

    1. what is best practice in those cases ?

    2. is it possible to get it as two individual buys from the same user (user only need to pack everything in his cart once)

    thank you for your help

    Hey there!

So if a customer buys the book plus another product, these are shipped separately? You could certainly do that just by setting the shipping cost for each product, so the shipping total would be correct. In that case, I’d recommend using Shipping Classes – the book would get its own shipping class:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-shipping-classes/

As for splitting the cart into two orders, you’d need to use customization to determine when that needs to happen, and handle it as two separate orders. If you aren’t comfortable with development, I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

    Hey @simplyketo

Were you able to find a solution here?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

If you have a solution, you can still add this as a comment here for any future visitors.

    Thanks,
