    Hi there,

I have the premium version of this plugin and one feature is:

“SEO friendly product catalog single product pages” – How would I do this as it’s not clear to me?

At the moment, if I click on a product, it changes the catalogue area to display the product I clicked on and it uses the “pretty permalink/slug” to give a better URL. However, I don’t want it to do this. I would like it to go to a completely different page, but pull in all the information I provided for the product when adding it to the product catalog.

Please let me know if the above is feasible.

    Thanks,
    Ryan.

Further Info: I can use the “Product Link” section of the product to link it to a different page/post on my website, however, instead of reinserting the information, I would like to pull in the information for the specific product from what was added to the ultimate product catalog plugin and preferably only specific things such as Name, Description, and Price only.

Hopefully, I’m making sense! If you know a better way to do it, please let me know.

    Any help on this???

    Hi Ryan,

The SEO-friendly product pages does indeed refer to the URL that is generated for the product page. As far as search engine indexing is concerned, your product resides at that URL, even though, as you say, it isn’t a fully separate and independent page. The Product Link option is meant to be used as a way of linking to a separate page that is, for example, a purchase link, and not really as away to create a separate permalink for each product. You could probably custom code a function into a specific URL that pulls information from a post on click and then automatically displays it on a new page, but that would require quite a bit of work and goes beyond the scope of our available support.

Thanks for your help. Would be good to have it as like short code you could past onto a separate post/page, just an idea 🙂

    Thanks again.
