# single posts

 * I am having issues with my templates for posts. It seems that when i have a single
   post it is still using index.php and not single.php, and when this happens it
   breaks the layout, see; [http://test.tuscorlloyds.com/tuscornews/category/recent-projects/algeria/](http://test.tuscorlloyds.com/tuscornews/category/recent-projects/algeria/)
   does anyone know why this is happening?

 * i forgot to mention when there is more than one post on the page the layout is

   I think there is an extra <div> tag being generated somewhere that breaks the
   layout when there is only one post on a page

   first. You have some minor validation errors that shouldn’t really effect your
   layout but are easy to fix and a few major ones that could contribute to your
   problem. Its going to be hard to get consistent results until you clean those
   up.
 * How do you know that index.php is being used instead of single.php or category.
   php? I can’t really work that out from my end.
