Also, not sure if relevant but the Navigation Menu item PEST FACTS is set to use the Posts Page: Pest Facts. Would it make a difference if it was set to a Custom Link using http://www.pestcontrolri.com ?

    hy,

thank you for your post. i found out that one of your issues is indeed a bug in the plugin. the additional pages links are not affected by our code. while we work on the fix you could increase the number of blog posts to show at once in your wordpress settings.

the problem with the single post links is that they don’t have the /pest-facts/… part in their url. this plugin only works with the url, so you must use permalink-settings that make the single posts a “url-child” of the mapping you saved.

i hope to have a solution soon for the bug, but please be patient as this plugin development is only a hobby next to our main business.

    Thank you for your response

For the Single Posts I added /pest-facts/ to the Permalink Custom Structure so it is now
    http://shspestcontrol.com/pest-facts/%postname%/
Fortunately this does not add /pest-facts/ to static Page URLs

Domain Mapping appears to be working for links to Single Posts and Categories
    http://www.pestcontrolri.com/carpenter-bees-pest-control/
    http://www.pestcontrolri.com/category/common-new-england-pests/
    http://www.pestcontrolri.com/category/shs-pest-control-services/homeowner-pest-control-plans/

Which leaves the Pagination still reverting back to shspestcontrol.com
    http://shspestcontrol.com/pest-facts/category/common-new-england-pests/page/2/

I look forward to hearing when you have a fix for this

    Thanks, Toni

    hy toni,

well your static page urls are static. permalink structure settings are only for posts.

if you want static pages mapped you can either add mappings for these or change their static permalinks so that they fit to your existing mapping…

an yes of course pagination is still not working as we did not release a fix yet.

This looks as though it’s the correct place to post my question

The plugin works to a degree but reading multidomainmapping.php I wonder if there is a better way to use it.

At the moment I have http://domain1.co.uk/having pointed http://domain2.co.uk/ to the above domain the full path does not show when I navigate around the site, only the primary second domain remains visible.

We want users to all have the same experience regardless of the domain they use to reach the domain.

    Many thanks

    hy paul,

i am sorry but i can’t follow your explanation. could you please post a screenshot of your configuration and describe how it should work and how you see it working so far?

i am not sure what you want to reach with the plugin 🙂

pagination should be fixed with latest release 0.1.2 – please confirm 😉

    I have updated the Plugin

    Primary site: http://shspestcontrol.com/
Click on Menu Item “Pest Facts” to go to http://www.pestcontrolri.com/
Scroll down bottom of page to click on “Next Page”
    Goes to http://shspestcontrol.com/pest-facts/page/2/

This is not a major problem as the individual Posts use the correct URL and that was the primary goal
    http://www.pestcontrolri.com/common-pests-in-february/
and going to Next and Prev continue to use http://www.pestcontrolri.com/post-name

    Thank you

    hy @tonim07,

we have tested out pagination with the standard themes like “twenty seventeen” and change pagination links with the filters that wordpress core provides. if you have the chance to switch your site to this or another theme, we could see if it changes.
looks like your theme does not use the standard-pagination functions and therefore is not affected by our plugin.

has this worked in the previous version? we did not remove any filters, instead added some to improve chances to work with different functions.

    matt

The static page pagination did not work before update either.

As long as the individual Posts URL are working we are OK. Giving the primary domain credit for the static pages (list of Posts) is fine at this point.

    Thank you.
