Absolutely – there’s an option to only restrict “Selected Content” where you can then set it to be restricted on the edit page – there’ll be a box to the right with age gate settings.
Depending on your setup, the is also a shortcode that you could wrap individual images in. Full page is probably the simplest approach though.

@philsbury Hello Phil, we run a wine shop and would like an age restriction only on the shop. I selected ‘Selected content’ ánd ‘Varied ages – Ability to add a custom age on a per page level’. I also tried to select only ‘Selected content’. However, I really can’t find the expected checkbox on the right. I believe it isn’t there.
Is there another setting or might there be a compatibilty issue?
