  • Not sure exactly what you want. You can certainly create a Static Front Page with a template to retrieve a single post.

Or you can modify your home.php template to do a custom query where you only fetch the latest post.

Mik I think that is what I’m looking to do. I basically want my homepage to be my latest post. Where people can comment and do everything else you would be able to do on a single post page. Is this possible?

    Thanks for all your help!

I’m looking for the same functionality, Christina did you figure this out allready?

Sorry I meant to address that “bartsurminski” not “Mike” I was looking at the previous post.

Thanks, i’ve created a workaround by ‘featuring’ my post, so it always shows on top, then i’ve put my homepage to blog posts.
I’ve replaced my home button by a ‘featured’ button, so it will show all my featured blogposts on the page. This way i can make my serious blogpost stand out on the frontpage, and have my secondary blogposts (about wordpress tweaks/solutions etc.) on separate category websites.
Check out http://surminski.eu to see how it looks
