Single Category is displayed on which PHP file?

    I just built a theme and now that it is up and running, I noticed that it does not display the categories properly.

    For example, I have a sports website and the categories are Golf, Skiing, Skateboarding, Biking and Swimming.

    But when I click on Skiing, posts from all the categories show up. There are an archives.php, single.php and categories.php files in the theme.

    I am wondering which php file displays posts from a single Category?
