   The original image is still on the server which is now bloated with the ‘optimized’
   images…

 * You’re right that the original images remain on the server after optimization.
   This is normal behavior since the plugin creates backups of your images. Keeping
   the originals ensures you have the flexibility to revert or regenerate optimized
   versions if needed, without risking data loss.
 * However, if you’d like, you can always download the original images for safekeeping
   and choose not to save backups in the plugin settings. Please note that disabling
   backups comes with its own risks — once removed, the original images cannot be
   recovered via the plugin. It’s fully up to you to decide what works best for 
   your workflow.
 * The Image Optimizer is designed to generate lighter, web-optimized images served
   on the front end to improve loading times and site performance. The goal is to
   balance optimization with safety and flexibility for our users.
 * We’re also exploring better file management options for future updates, including
   advanced control over backups and storage.
 * If you have suggestions or specific needs, we’d love to hear them — your input
