  • Too little information to help.

    what do you need?

    Well, to start with:
    What do you mean by:

the home page is not working anymore

Give as much information as you can about the steps you take, what you expect the result to be and what the actual result was.

Have you tested with all other plugins deactivated ? Does it still not work ?
Have you tested with one of the WP default themes (for instance: twentytwelve) ? Does it still not work ?

If it works with all other plugins deactivated and a default theme, then it is *not* a WP SEO problem.
Try activating the plugins and theme one by one, testing whether it is still working between each activation. If you find it’s no longer working, the plugin or theme you just activated is the real culprit.

If it’s still not working with all other plugins deactivated and a default theme, please give information about any PHP errors and js errors you encounter.

    Smile,
    Juliette

Thanks Juliette! Sorry I am a bit new 🙂
Well since I have installed this plugin I can not EDIT the homepage anymore, the page does not show the current content.
I am pretty sure it comes from the plugin as when I tried to deactivate it, the homepage was working well.
So I have switched to the default theme (twenty eleven) and even with the plugin the home page is working well >> meaning that the combination of plugin + modernize theme causes the issue.

    Who should I ask then?
    Thanks for your help!

That depends on the errors shown – I expect there will be javascript errors in this case -, but… in my experience, it’s usually the theme that’s at fault, not WP SEO.

I don’t see any JavaScript errors.

    Where are you looking ?

LOL … It’s not as if I can see that page 😉
I meant: how are you determining that there are no js errors ? Are you looking in Firebug js console or something similar ?

I know but I do not understand what you mean by looking at Firebug js console? I am just looking at the edition of the page in WordPress.

So how can you tell if there are or aren’t any javascript errors ?

stop using this tone with me! are you trying to help or not?
if you don’t explain how to get the info how am I supposed to know???

    See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

And note that everyone here is a volunteer – you should ask the developer of your commercial theme for further assistance.

@eliseanewyork: I suggest you calm down now. These forums are staffed by unpaid volunteers who are not obliged to help anyone. Your current attitude is not conducive to obtaining help. Also, comments like “I expect there will be javascript errors in this case” are not helpful unless you have actually seen JavaScript errors.

Finally, Twenty Twelve is the current default theme – not Twenty Eleven
