• I have just published my site and when I have went to edit the setting of my pages such as the published on date and the Visibility setting by clicking on the links at the top right hand side of the Page Edit page it just move the page down like a page jump?

Can anyone please advise me why this I and help me fix it.

Any help with this is very much appreciated!

    Thanks

  • The top right link is there to edit how the backend looks not to edit the page. You find these settings on different locations. See screenshot: https://skitch.com/lucahammer/garqx/artikel-bearbeiten-luca-hammer-wordpress (sry for german backend)

Yes that is the links I mean.

When I click on them the page just moves down to the bottom.

When it is meant to open a calendar box to allow me to edit.

Do you know why this might be?

I am not able to drag widgets to the side bar, various buttons do not do anything, such as I am not able to switch to HTML editing of entries and the “screen options” buttons do nothing amongst other things. I can not add hyperlinks in my text, but I can unlink text???

    Can someone please help!!

Have you tried using a different browser?

Yes I’ve tried different browsers, It does not fix the problem.

I am quite new to all this. It all worked fine on my local host the problem only occurred once I published it. I published via FTP. I’m not sure if that helps give an indication to what the problem may be?

Did you go through the installation process? Are you sure all files were correctly transferred to the server? Maybe reupload the files.

I have just looked at the installation on the local host and It has the same problem but I did not notice it the past few days as I was not making changes to the site.

Noticing this now leads me to believe that it must have been caused by a plugin that I installed helping me to migrate the site. I have deleted all migration plugins however the problem is still here.

Luca i appreciate your time and thanks for the suggestions!

Do you have any other ideas what i could try?
