    A recent upgrade to Pretty Links? seems to have started to cause timeout issues. All other plugins off in an attempt to diagnose, still timing out albeit sporadically.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Are you using Pro or Lite?

    Lite

    What tracking method are you using (Simple, Normal, or Extended)?

    If Extended, try switching to Normal or Simple.

    Normal, switched back and forth, limited to last 90 days, times out when I try to view: page=pretty-link-clicks

    Is that the only place it times out?

    Pretty much.

    Have your host switch your pretty links tables to use InnoDB engine. See if that helps any.

    You want me to call GoDaddy and tell them to switch the database on a hosted WordPress account? I have a pretty good idea of how that call might go… but doing now.

    not possible on shared wordpress hosted plateform at godaddy

    Just turned off all plugins again to verify still having problems and it will not load that page.

    Pretty Links
    Add New Link
    Groups
    Tools
    Options
    Upgrade to pro all work….

    just got this:

    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at f9de3598666390.db.3598666.hostedresource.com:3306. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?
    If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    Enabling debug mode, godaddy says maxing out connections viaphpadmin to make sure tables not locked up -*- 2013 error

    Are you getting a lot of hits on your pretty links? If so, you may need to trim them more than 90 days apart.

    Thread Starter wayzatarealestate

    (@wayzatarealestate)

    Can you clarify what counts as a lot? I did trim to 90 days in the settings if that’ what you are asking. I am unable to get into stats to verify number of hits at this point.

    Do you have access to PHPMyAdmin or can you install the ARI Adminer plugin to have a look at the table and see how many rows there are?

    You can convert the tables to InnoDB yourself as well since the hosting support didn’t care to help.

    UPDATE TABLE wp_prli_clicks ENGINE="InnoDB";
    UPDATE TABLE wp_prli_links ENGINE="InnoDB";
    UPDATE TABLE wp_prli_link_metas ENGINE="InnoDB";
