    I recently added WordFence and I noticed that once I did that, new users started getting error messages when they tried to register, something like “user registration is not currently permitted”. Any idea why this is happening, and how to fix it? I use s2member as well.

    Can you see requests being blocked on the Wordfence -> Life Traffic page when you select the “Blocked By Firewall” filter?

    If so, what I suggest is to temporarily switch the firewall back to Learning Mode and check if new users are then able to register through the membership plugin you’re using (s2member).
