There is a difference between knowing what to do to optimize your site’s SEO and the ability to get all those little things done. Yoast SEO helps in getting most of the little details completed in the page/post edit screen and simplifies tracking your SEO efforts.

Yoast SEO allows me to leverage their intuitive interface and features for SEO with my strategy, the plugin includes many simple tools that quickly give you a boost in your rankings.

Having readability and SEO monitors on every page makes it simple to keep track of pages that you have optimized and once you still have to get to. Features like the text link counter and link suggestions further simplify my SEO efforts.

That being said the only drawback is that their online courses are mostly paid, which I feel like should be an included feature for those that have bought the premium version. But that is a personal sentiment and there are plenty of other resources in video and blog form on using and optimizing Yoast SEO for WordPress.
