Sorry you were having these issues, I’m not sure did you contact our support team already. However I just want to point out that our plugin DOES NOT have any code for “deleting files” from media library.
We do have hooks like “on delete attachment” which means that once you click “delete file” we hook onto that action and delete our metadata for that attachment.
Can you please contact our support at support@wpcompress.com so that we can see what actually happened, it could be some kind of conflict with some other plugin or theme.
At the moment we have 6000+ active installs and nobody reported this issue so far, so we would like to see what was the problem with your install.
