# Simple wp-config.php question

 * Hi everyone,
 * When creating a wp-config.php file, do I want to keep all the fields provided
   in the [sample wp-config.php](http://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/2.9.1/wp-config-sample.php)
   file or do I want to comment out/delete those fields that I am not changing?
 * This WordPress installation was originally installed through Fantastico but now
   I need the wp-config.php file.

 * the wp-config file doesn’t just change the settings
 * it holds them, tells wordpress where your DB is, how to get in, etc
 * So even if your are not changing something (like password, or DB location) it
   still has to be in wp-config

   to add then?
