  • I have reported to SS plugin support that the plugin stopped working about a month ago. At first, it continued to count shares properly for the featured post on the homepage and for posts on individual post pages. But it did not show shares for excerpted posts on the main page.

    Now it shows “0” shares even for the homepage featured post. So essentially the plugin has stopped working entirely.

    Support said they were escalating the issue. But I have heard nothing back from them since then.

    I loved this plugin until it stopped working. It would be a shame to have to drop it.

  • I’m using addtoany, very similar and working perfectly. I had the same problem, stopped working and no longer respond.

    The whole thing is maddening. Over the past decade I’ve probably had to switch social media plugins 5 times or more. I did try Add to Any & I don’t remember why it didn’t work for me, but it didn’t do what I needed. But I did find one that’s working OK so far, Sassy.

    It displays on featured post, individual post pgs & excerpted posts on homepage. Plus it gives me a post share count for each individual social media platform. Now, as long as it keeps working!

    Thank you for reaching out and apologies if you had an issue. I’m not sure where the miscommunication came from but we did release a specific update for the counts not working within excerpts and it should be all systems go now.

    If you have any other questions please let us know.

    I automatically update my plugins and I was using the latest version and the share count continued to not work. So for some reason even the update didn’t work. Not only that, but the share count also disappeared for the featured post on the home page. When I first noticed this problem, at least the share count did display for the featured post.

    IN the meantime, I’ve switched to a different plugin that appears to be working well.

    I wish the support tech had communicated to me that there was an update. I could’ve then made sure I had the latest version & reported to you it still wasn’t working.
