# Simple root move

 * I would like to keep my wordpress files in the subdirectory where they are presently
   located. BUT, I would like the blog to load when a user goes to my site [http://www.bfmcmillen.com](http://www.bfmcmillen.com).
   Right now, the url of the site is [http://bfmcmillen.com/virtuallee](http://bfmcmillen.com/virtuallee)
 * Is there a way to simply move the index?
 * If there is – will the pagination of my present articles change?
 * I have already viewed the codex – but it talks about moving the ‘core’ files 
   and moving to a new url – things that aren’t directly my case. (I think)
 * Thank-you

 * Yes…step 7 tells you to copy the index.php to the root.
