# Simple Pie Safe Mode Errors

 * I’m running to some issues with Simple Pie right now.
 * I use Nearly Free Speech . Net (NFSN) as a host, which forces PHP Safe Mode, 
   which makes using wordpress a bit more complicated. Recently, I updated to 3.5.1
   manually, and during the process, I was unable to delete the Simple Pie folder
   in wp-includes.
 * Aside from that, the update went smoothly, and aside from a handful of php errors
   on my dashboard, everything seems to be running well. However, I’d really like
   to clear up everything with simple pie (even though I don’t quite understand 
   what it does).
 * My question is: how can I force the update of the simple pie folder with Safe
   Mode restrictions in effect? A delete through FTP doesn’t do anything. Can I 
   force the delete through SSH or something else?
 * Here are my errors:
