• After trying 4 other plugins to create a simple carousel, each of which had their own issues (using Flash, shortcodes not working, not displaying content, labor-intensive to customize etc.), this one was my savior. It just works, looks pretty darn good, and is easy to both set up and edit for non-programmers and relative WP newbies like me.

My only complaint is that the implementation instructions could be better. I implemented the carousel on the page itself, by using the “Insert Media” option, and then selecting “Insert Gallery”. From there you can customize the options. If you want to link the images to a page, you need to set this up in the WordPress Media Library by editing the actual uploaded images. There is an option “Link to” under each image in editing mode.
