    Hello, I recently installed SLB on a site with WPGlobus. All images in the site are captioned in two languages, soon to become 3.

    WPGlobus keeps it’s data in the text fields by using “markers” for different languages. For example:

    {:fr}French Caption{:}{:en}English Caption{:}

    SLB seem incompatible with this scheme, as after a thumbnail is clicked, the lightbox opens and below the actual image the complete string can be seen, instead of “French Caption” / “English Caption” depending on the selected language.

    I was directed by WPGlobus to this page on their site, implying that it’s a matter of proper string addressing in the “conflicting” plugin, in this case SLB:

    Do you think that could be fixed on your end? If not, could anyone suggest a lightbox that plays nice with WPGlobus?

    Please provide a link to a page that exhibits the issue you are experiencing and I would be glad to take a closer look.

    Thanks.

    As the site in question is private, I created a similar scenario on another site, exhibiting the same problem. Click on the product photo.

    Thanks!

    Thank you for the example. While SLB is fully compatible with WordPress’ built-in multilingual support noted in the documentation linked in your original post, it appears that WPGlobus uses a non-standard method for storing attachment caption data. Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that any plugin would work out of the box with another plugin’s proprietary implementation like this.

    Fortunately, SLB supports add-ons to provide custom functionality for specific plugins like this. Add-ons are developed based on demand, so I would recommend adding WPGlobus to the list here: SLB Add-on: Multilingual Support
