In the settings area I clicked the grant permission button for my fan page–the other two buttons were shaded out. The window asking me to allow access popped up and I allowed.

It appeared to work and I saved. But when I go back to the settings the button is lit up again as though I have not granted permission. I repeat the steps, clicking allow in the pop-up each time. It always seems to work but since the first time it no longer appears shaded out–the first time it appeared shaded out.

I have not yet tried to test by creating a post to see if it goes to my facebook page. I’m just concerned that it may work now and may not work if I try tomorrow and I am wanting consistency.

I think this has been resolved, but am wary.

I set up my fan page a few years ago–not knowing that was what I was doing. I actually set up two identically named fan pages and did nothing with them or that facebook account until finding the associated email address a few weeks ago.

I tried to delete one of the fan pages but was denied.
I set one up with a profile and published it and set my SFC to that fan page.

But when I tried to get to it this am it was not there–the only option was the unpublsihed page.

I put in my profile and image, published it and changed my SFC settings to go to that page. Everything was accepted and all buttons remain shaded out.

I am wary because I don’t know why my other fan page disappeared and am thus wondering if the same thing could happen again. When the SFC button was remaining unshaded before I could access the fan page, so it was not yet deleted.

If a mod thinks this is resolved, please feel free to close the issue. But if anyone has an idea…let me know. I’m new to social networking and don’t yet know how it facebook works.
